Blending a country style with a little bit of rock and soul, Chace and Dusty have brought together the best of Southwest Louisiana with a new band that is well-experienced and versatile. On New Year's Eve, Rob LeBlanc will perform with the legendary Disco singer Gloria Gaynor at an exclusive concert event held at the L'Auberge Casino in Lake Charles, LA. Gloria Gaynor is a Grammy Award winner and Disco legend. Her iconic song "I Will Survive" has been an anthem survivors of all kinds for decades. The concert will also showcase the soulful sounds of the Isley Brothers whose hit song "It's Your Thing" was listed in Rolling Stone magazine as one to the 500 greatest songs of all time.
Sax in the City featuring Grammy-nominated Mickey Huber Smith, Jr. will take place the last Sunday of every month from July through November at Chateau du Calcasieu. There is a catered dinner at 5:30 followed by a concert at 7:00 PM. On the August 30th show, Mickey & the SITC band will team up with local legend Brad Brinkley along with others for an evening that will delight.
Tickets: $30 (includes preferred seating, dinner & show; MUST be purchased in advance) $15 (available at the door starting at 6:30pm, no dinner) Tickets can be purchased at Swicegood Music (308 E Prien Lake Rd) & at Bearden’s Music (202 Cities Service Hwy) Each concert will have a guest musician to play or sing with Mickey’s band, Sax in the City. The mission for this event is to bring awareness to Music Makers , an organization that refurbishes old instruments and gives them to at-risk children or children who are interested in learning how to play. There is a drop off at the concerts for people interested in donating instruments to the cause. |
